Caring for your artwork

Thank you for welcoming one of my artworks into your home. Every painting is created using professional-quality materials and is designed to be enjoyed for many years. With just a little care, your artwork will continue to look its best for generations.

Displaying Your Artwork

To help preserve the colours and surface of your painting, I recommend:

Hanging your artwork away from prolonged direct sunlight.

Avoiding areas with excessive humidity, such as bathrooms or rooms with poor ventilation.

Keeping artwork away from radiators, fireplaces and other direct heat sources.

Displaying your painting in a stable indoor environment where temperatures do not fluctuate dramatically.

Cleaning Your Painting

Original paintings require very little maintenance.

If dust appears on the surface, gently wipe it with a soft, dry microfibre cloth or a clean feather duster.

Please avoid:

Water or damp cloths

Household cleaning products

Furniture polish

Abrasive cloths or sponges

These can damage the painted surface and protective finishes.

Framing

Many of my paintings are designed to be displayed without a traditional frame, with painted edges providing a contemporary gallery-style finish.

If you choose to frame your artwork, I recommend using a professional framer who has experience handling original artwork.

Fine art prints should ideally be framed using acid-free mounts and UV-protective glass to help preserve the paper and colours over time.

Materials

I use professional artist-quality acrylic paints, mixed media and archival materials wherever possible.

Fine art prints are produced using archival inks on premium fine art paper, offering excellent colour accuracy and long-lasting quality when cared for correctly.

Moving or Storing Artwork

If you need to store your artwork:

Wrap it in acid-free tissue or glassine paper.

Protect it with bubble wrap, ensuring bubbles face away from the painted surface.

Store it upright rather than laying heavy objects on top.

Keep it in a dry, temperature-controlled environment.

A Piece Made to Last

Every painting is created slowly and thoughtfully, with the hope that it will become part of your home and your story.

Thank you for giving my work a place in your life.
