I’m really happy to welcome you into my creative world.
My art is about bringing imagination to life through abstract and semi-abstract pieces. I work mainly with mixed media and acrylics, building up layers of paint, texture, and intuitive markings. Each piece evolves slowly and instinctively, with the hope that it speaks to your soul and brings a sense of calm, restfulness, and quiet connection.
Nature is my greatest inspiration. I spend a lot of time outdoors, usually walking with my dog, and I’ve always felt a deep connection to trees — their shapes, colours, and the way they feel rooted in something far bigger than ourselves. Many stand long before we arrive and remain long after we’re gone, and I often find myself wondering about the stories they could tell.
As we move into 2026, I feel a gentle pull in a new direction with my work — towards more organic, earthy elements. There is so much beauty right in front of us, and the natural world continues to guide my thoughts and creative process.
I’ve been based in Leeds for the past 26 years, though I was born in Lancashire, raised in Yorkshire, and I’m proudly half Scottish too. I’m also a graphic designer, and after more than 30 years in that world, painting has become a space where I can truly let go, work intuitively, and enjoy complete creative freedom on the canvas.
Through my work, my hope is to take you on a journey. I want you to feel something — an emotion, a memory, a sense of healing or strength, a quiet connection. I hope you can look at my art and discover your own story reflected back at you.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I truly hope you find something here that speaks to your heart. 💛
