I create original mixed media paintings inspired by coastlines, open landscapes and the way nature makes us feel. Through layered textures and expressive detail, my work explores atmosphere, memory and emotion rather than exact locations. I want each piece to leave space for personal interpretation, allowing the viewer to bring their own memories, feelings and imagination to the landscape before them. I am particularly drawn to creating richly textured surfaces that add depth, movement and a tactile quality to my work.
