About me
I’m really happy to welcome you into my creative world.
My art is about bringing imagination to life through abstract and semi-abstract pieces. I work mainly with mixed media and acrylics, building up layers of paint, texture, and intuitive markings. I love experimenting with marks and I enjoy creating small details within large paintings.
Nature is my greatest inspiration. I spend a lot of time outdoors, usually walking with my dog. I’ve always felt a deep connection to the outdoors, having grown up in a quiet village surrounded by views of rolling countryside.
I've lived in Scarborough and York for a time, where I studied Graphic Design, before moving to Leeds, although I am no longer a country bumpkin I still get out for countryside and beach walks, as thankfully that's all not too far away.
There is so much beauty right in front of us, and the natural world continues to guide my thoughts and creative process. Through my work, my hope is to take you on a journey. I want you to feel something - an emotion, a memory, a sense of healing or strength, a quiet connection. This is what I feel when I paint and I want you to feel it too. My landscapes are not an actual place, but based on places I have been. I want you to open your imagination and relate those pieces to places you have been and experienced, meaning I hope you can look at my art and discover your own story reflected back at you.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I truly hope you find something here that speaks to your heart. 💛
